Trial Attorney

Harry T. Coleman, Esquire, is an experienced trial attorney with more than three decades of legal and trial practice concentrated in civil litigation, insurance law, public entity and government liability matters. Mr. Coleman earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in 1987, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Evidence. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from University of Scranton in 1982. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable James M. Munley of the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas and to the Honorable John Gallagher of the Court of the State of Delaware before entering private practice.

 

Since June 2002, Mr. Coleman has operated the Law Offices of Harry T. Coleman in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.. His practice focuses heavily on trials of personal injury, motor vehicle and trial litigation of public entities and governmental agencies. Over the course of his career, he has handled more than one hundred and fifty jury trials in both Pennsylvania and New York state courts, as well as in all federal district courts in Pennsylvania.

 

Mr. Coleman maintains extensive professional involvement through memberships in organizations including the Federal Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Board of Trial Advocates, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Lackawanna County Bar Association. He has also served in numerous leadership and advisory roles with healthcare, insurance, historical, and community organizations, including Maxis Health System, Apex Insurance Company, the Anthracite Historical Discovery Center, the Carbondale YMCA, Tri Valley Care, and Catholic Social Services of Lackawanna County. He has tremendous commitment to his hometown of Carbondale.

Throughout his career, in addition to representing injured parties, Mr. Coleman has represented a broad range of corporate clients. His extensive trial experience and concentration in complex litigation have established him as a highly seasoned advocate in both state and federal courts.

Morgan Grzech brings a strong educational foundation and a commitment to integrity, communication, and client service to the Law Office of Harry Coleman. Through her studies in criminal justice, she developed valuable insight into the legal system, public safety, and the importance of ethical advocacy. Morgan works closely with the firm to help ensure clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the legal process. Her background in criminology and legal studies strengthens the firm’s ability to assist clients efficiently and thoughtfully, while her approachable nature and professionalism reflect the client-centered values that define the practice. Morgan remains committed to continued growth within the legal field and takes pride in supporting individuals and families throughout Pennsylvania.

Managing litigation Paralegal

Leigh Gerardi is the Managing Litigation Paralegal for the Law Offices of Harry T. Coleman. She is an experienced Litigation Paralegal who has provided legal support services to Attorney Coleman for over thirty years.  Together with Attorney Coleman Leigh provides clients with effective and compassionate assistance from initial intake throughout the conclusion of their case.  As Managing Litigation Paralegal, Leigh supervises all aspects of office management while also providing Attorney Coleman with the support required to effectively represent his clients. Civil litigation, specifically insurance defense, is Leigh’s specialization and area of expertise.  Her attention to detail and organization helps her excel in the handling of complex discovery matters that include in-depth medical reviews and investigative research.  In addition to pre-trial support, Leigh’s preparation for and attendance at trial with Attorney Coleman has helped him achieve record-setting jury verdicts in both state and federal courts.   


Prior to beginning her legal career, Leigh graduated Valedictorian from McCann School of Business with an Associate in Specialized Business Degree with a concentration in Business Administration and Major in Paralegal Studies (ASB). In addition, she graduated summa cum laude from Luzerne County Community College with an Associate in Applied Science Degree (AAS) and was a member of the English Honor Society – Sigma Kappa Delta.  Leigh also graduated summa cum laude from Wilkes University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (BA).  While at Wilkes University Leigh was the recipient of the Dr. Jarasov G. Moravec Memorial Scholarship Award and a was a member of the English Honor Society - Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society. 


Outside of the office, Leigh can be described as an avid bookworm and lover of all thing’s tea. She also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling for foreign mission trips,  and enjoying afternoon tea at local and new tea houses.
